Ruth is an Associate Education Consultant with CAMOR and helps the organisation develop its Customised Awards. She has worked in a wide variety of UK public sector organisations, latterly The Scottish Qualifications Authority and Scottish Enterprise.
Her specialism is in qualifications design and development, writing units in Learning Outcomes and Performance Criteria; Scottish Credit and Qualifications credit rating and levelling; and Quality Assurance auditing, ensuring Training Providers have the correct quality processes and procedures in place.
She has developed and revised National Occupational Standards, Competency Based Qualifications and Modern Apprenticeships in the security, waste & water industry and youth work sectors.
She has undertaken a number of international projects: training the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority on mapping qualifications to the Oman National Qualifications Framework and training Institutions how to write qualifications; training Ministry of Education staff in Bahrain to map qualifications to the Bahrain National Qualifications Framework; vetted Saudi Sector Skills Units and developed quality assurance policies and procedures for a University in Bahrain as part of a team of associates.
Ruth is also a former police officer with Kent County Constabulary.
